The Miami Heat play in the Southeast Division, in the Eastern Conference of the NBA and are coached by basketball hall of fame coach Pat Riley. The Miami Heat have a successful winning record of making the playoffs 13 out of 21 seasons, won 7 division titles and won the 2006 NBA finals against the Dallas Mavericks. The Miami Heat are renowned for being the most successful of the 4 expansion teams that entered the NBA league in 1988 and 1989.
