The Los Angeles Chargers became charter members of the AFL in 1960. With a tremendous offensive attack, the Los Angeles Chargers claimed 5 division titles in their first 6 seasons, winning the 1963 AFL championship with it. The late 1970s and early 1980s again saw the Los Angeles Chargers field one of pro football's great offenses. Los Angeles Chargers winning ways returned in the 1990s with a stint in Super Bowl XXIX prior to the 1994 season. The Los Angeles Chargers play in neat blue and yellow jerseys with matching helmets. The team’s logo is a lightning bolt design.
