The Buffalo Bills were the 7th team to join the American Football League. The Buffalo Bills 1st success came in 1963 when they tied for the AFL Eastern Division crown, but lost to the Boston Patriots in the playoffs. The Buffalo Bills then lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1966 AFL title game just missing out on competing in the 1st Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills record sank, winning only 13 games, losing 55 and tying 2 in the next 5 seasons. The Buffalo Bills then endured 6 straight losing seasons in the mid-1980s. However, with Coach Marv Levy’s help in 1988, the Buffalo Bills turned it around and won 5 AFC Eastern titles in 6 years and became the only team to play in 4 straight Super Bowls.
